Lumirae Clinic

Frequently asked questions

General information for new and existing clients.

Do I need a consultation before treatment?

Yes. All new clients require a consultation before treatment. This allows us to discuss your concerns, assess your facial structure, review your medical history and determine whether treatment is suitable for you.

A consultation does not mean you have to proceed with treatment. It is designed to help you feel informed, comfortable and confident in your options.

What happens during my initial consultation?

During your consultation, we will discuss your goals, medical history, previous treatments, allergies, medications and any concerns you may have.

Your facial structure, symmetry and proportions will be assessed, and a personalised treatment plan will be created based on your individual features and desired outcome.

Will I look natural?

Natural-looking results are the focus at Lumirae Clinic.

The aim is not to change your face, but to enhance your existing features in a subtle, balanced and considered way. Every treatment plan is tailored to your individual anatomy, goals and facial harmony.

How do I know what treatment I need?

You do not need to know exactly what to book before coming in. That is what the consultation is for.

We will discuss your concerns and create a plan based on what is clinically appropriate, safe and aligned with your goals.

Can I have treatment on the same day as my consultation?

In some cases, treatment may be able to proceed on the same day if you are medically suitable, have had time to consider your options and feel comfortable moving forward.

However, treatment is never guaranteed on the day of consultation. Safety, informed consent and suitability always come first.

Are cosmetic treatments safe?

All cosmetic treatments carry potential risks and side effects. At Lumirae Clinic, your safety is the priority.

Your medical history, treatment suitability, risks, benefits and aftercare will be discussed before any treatment is provided. Treatments are approached with clinical judgement, ethical care and attention to detail.

What if I am nervous?

Feeling nervous is completely normal, especially if it is your first time considering cosmetic treatment.

Your appointment will never be rushed. We will take the time to talk through your concerns, explain your options and answer your questions so you feel comfortable before making any decisions.

How long do results last?

Results vary from person to person and depend on several factors, including your anatomy, metabolism, lifestyle, treatment area and the type of treatment performed.

This will be discussed during your consultation so you have realistic expectations before proceeding.

Will there be downtime?

Downtime varies depending on the treatment. Some clients may experience temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising.

You will be provided with aftercare instructions and guidance on what to expect following your appointment.

What should I do before my appointment?

Please arrive with a clean face where possible and avoid wearing heavy makeup to your appointment.

You should also be prepared to discuss your medical history, current medications, allergies, previous cosmetic treatments and any upcoming medical, dental or cosmetic procedures.

Can I have treatment if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

No. Cosmetic treatments are generally not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Your safety and wellbeing are the priority, and treatment can be discussed once pregnancy or breastfeeding has finished.

Do you treat everyone?

No. Treatment is only provided when it is considered safe, suitable and clinically appropriate.

Lumirae Clinic reserves the right to decline or postpone treatment if it is not in your best interest, if there are medical contraindications, or if expectations are not realistic.

Do you treat clients under 18?

No. Lumirae Clinic only provides cosmetic consultations and aesthetic treatments to clients aged 18 years and over.

Elective aesthetic procedures are not provided to individuals under 18. Proof of age may be requested before consultation or treatment.

This policy is in place to support safe, ethical and responsible care.
